Support Sensei -

Step 1 - If you haven't already, head to and sign up for VPNinja!

  • $3.00/week, $6.00/month, or $58.00/year.  Use discount code Mr. Miyagi to save 10% today!

Step 2 - Launch Device Settings

  • Find the Settings widget on your android device (this can usually be found on the home screen or in your apps folder)
  • Tap the Settings widget to open your device's settings page.

Step 3 - Select Wireless & Networks

  • At the top of the Settings page you should see a  Wireless & Networks section
  • Find and select More...

Step 4 - Select VPN

  • Select VPN
  • A VPN is a Virtual Private Network - or your case, a Very Private Ninja.

Step 5 - Choose 'Add VPN'

  • In the VPN screen select Plus symbol in the top right of the screen - this is where you will create your VPNinja connection.

Step 6 - Edit VPN Profile

  • In the Name field, enter a name for your new VPN connection - we recommend VPNinja.
  • In the Type field select PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol).
  • Make sure to uncheck PPP encryption (MPPE).
  • PPP is an added privacy feature for PPTP-based VPN's, but is supported only on Android 2.3.7 and above.
  • If you are unsure what version of Android your device is running, it is safer to keep the PPP encryption unchecked.
  • You will now need to decide which VPNinja server you would like your phone or tablet to connect to.
  • A full list of servers can be found here.
  • Your VPNinja server selection will affect your ability to connect to different web-based services.  For US-based services (like Hulu, Netflix or Spotify) you'll need to select a US-based server. For iBBC player, select a UK-based server, and so on.
  • Once you have input a server, press Save.

Step 7 - Confirm VPNinja VPN Creation

  • After saving your newly created VPN connection you should now see a new PPTP VPN named VPNinja in your VPN list.
  • Select your new VPNinja Profile.

Step 9 - Enter your VPNinja Credentials

  • When prompted, input your VPNinja username and password. (This is the same username and password you created when you signed up for VPNinja).
  • Check save account information to avoid this step in the future, check the Save account information check box.
  • After you have input your account information choose Connect.

Step 10 - Wait Patiently

  • Once connected the VPN tab will read Connected and you will see a small key icon appear in the upper-right hand portion of your device's screen.
  • You are now free to surf the net like a freakin Ninja.

Step 11 - Damn the Man, Surf the Entire Internet

You don't mention that Android will require you to set up a lock screen on your device, and there's no way around it.
